Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Managing the interface between foreign designers, local designers, the PMO, and contractors, including coordinating communication and the flow of project documentation

• Coordinating the approval of project documentation in accordance with STN/EN standards and local legislation, while ensuring the technical intent of the project is maintained

• Coordinating project documentation across disciplines and packages (civil, structural, MEP, infrastructure), including identifying and resolving conflicts

• Review and validation of bills of quantities (BoQ) and support for tender preparation, including technical documentation and clarifications

• Quality control of project documentation in terms of feasibility, compliance with permits, and coordination of disciplines, including issue tracking

• Management of changes, optimizations, and value engineering, including assessment of impacts on the budget, schedule, and scope of the project

• Technical support during construction (RFIs, on-site problem-solving, documentation updates) and documentation management, including versions and IFC files

Personality requirements and skills

• A university degree in civil engineering, construction, or architecture

• At least 5 years of prior experience in design or engineering coordination – a mandatory requirement

• Demonstrable experience with large-scale industrial projects (experience in manufacturing or the energy sector is a significant advantage)

• Knowledge of Slovak standards (STN) and Eurocodes (EN), individual design phases, and BIM coordination (Navisworks/Revit)

• Proficiency in English and Slovak at a communicative level (minimum B2) – a mandatory requirement (regular communication with clients and international colleagues)

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to respond quickly to problems, analytical thinking, and thoroughness in problem-solving

• Experience with design in an international environment (experience with projects between the EU and Asia is a major advantage)

• Microsoft Office – proficiency with the suite is required

Slovakia’s first battery gigafactory is being built near the town of Šurany on a 95-hectare site and will create over a thousand jobs. In the initial phase of construction, it will have a capacity of 20 GWh, with the potential to reach up to 40 GWh. The start of series production (SOP) is scheduled for the end of 2027.
