Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Administration of construction contracts (FIDIC / NEC / bespoke), including monitoring compliance with contractual terms, managing contractual correspondence, and maintaining contract registers

• Change management (variations), including assessment of claims, impacts on cost and schedule, coordination of inputs, and maintenance of change records

• Claims management (EOT, financial claims, disruption), including evaluation of supporting documents, preparation of investor positions, and support for dispute resolution (DAB, arbitration)

• Supporting cost control and financial management of the project, including monitoring interim payments, verifying progress and quantities, and collaborating with the QS team

• Preparing and managing formal contractual communications with an emphasis on compliance with contractual terms and the auditability of documentation

• Supporting procurement and tenders, including preparing contract documents, evaluating bids, and participating in negotiations with suppliers

• Identifying and managing contractual risks, maintaining risk registers, and ensuring that project documentation and processes comply with legislation and project standards

Personality requirements and skills

• A university degree in construction management, civil engineering, or law

• At least 5 years of prior experience in construction contract management – a mandatory requirement

• Demonstrable experience with FIDIC contracts (Red Book, Yellow Book, EPC)

• Thorough knowledge of contract law and construction contracts

• Proficiency in English and Slovak at a communicative level (minimum B2) – a mandatory requirement (regular communication with clients and international colleagues)

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to respond quickly to problems, analytical thinking, and thoroughness in problem-solving

• Microsoft Office – proficiency with the suite is a requirement

About Our Company

Slovakia’s first battery gigafactory is being built near the town of Šurany on a 95-hectare site and will create over a thousand jobs. In the initial phase of construction, it will have a capacity of 20 GWh, with the potential to reach up to 40 GWh. The start of series production (SOP) is scheduled for the end of 2027.
